The salary is based on the RWTH Guidelines for Student and Graduate Assistants.
The position corresponds to a pay grade of 12,00 € per hour.

**Unser Profil**:
At the Learning on Graphs Lab, led by Prof. Dr. Christopher Morris at the Chair of Machine Learning and Reasoning at RWTH Aachen University, we are developing theoretical and practical approaches for machine learning on graphs. Machine learning on graphs is a relatively new field in machine learning that focuses on the structure of data and develops machine learning methods that automatically make predictions about properties of graphs. The work in our lab is characterized by always examining practical methods in terms of their theoretical properties. We are happy to work with interested and dedicated students on these problems.

**Ihr Profil**:

- excellent programming skills in Python
- strong background in machine learning
- experience with PyTorch
- experience with clean code, automatically generated documentation, unit and integration testing
- interest in open source development
- strong commitment to the project in terms of time and effort
- good knowledge of English
- nice to have:

- Proven track record (e.g. contributions to open source software, projects on machine learning)
- Indepe dent work ethic
- Hands-on experience with and interest in machine learning on graphs
- Experience working on large code bases

**Ihre Aufgaben**:
The Learning on Graph group in the CS department at RWTH is looking for a highly motivated student* with practical experience in software development. The goal is to further improve an existing and already widely used open source library in the area of machine learning on graph by adding comprehensive unit and integration testing, adding detailed documentation automatically generated from the source code, developing a consistent API and refactoring the existing code to improve readability and extensibility, establishing a viable continuous delivery pipeline, and a versioning and release strategy.
This project offers an excellent opportunity for ambitious students to work on a large and popular open source library and make a big impact on a rapidly growing field of machine learning.
