**Project Coordinator (M/F/d)**:
The position is assigned to the Centre for International Development and Environmental Research (ZEU) at JLU as part of the EU project -MEDiterranean and pan-European forecast and Early Warning System Against natural hazards

We are looking for an experienced person to support us in coordinating the project with 28 international partners. Your main task will be to support MedEWSa in coordination with the project coordinator Prof. Dr. Jürg Luterbacher and the JLU PI Dr. Elena Xoplaki) and to contribute to the success of the project.

**Your tasks at a glance**
- Supporting the lead PI at JLU and their team in the daily project activities
- Ensure coordination and collaboration between the project partners
- Support operational project management including budget management, quality control and timely preparation and submission of interim and annual financial statements
- Evaluate advice from operational management committees and representatives to meet project timelines and objectives
- Coordination of administrative processes, including the submission of financial reports by the project partners
- Interface between the consortium and the European Commission in terms of communication, finance and administration
- Coordination and updating of contract documents (DoA, CA)
- Organisation of the annual MedEWSa General Assembly and Management Board meetings as well as concrete implementation of decisions
- Support in publication activities and data management
- If interested and suitable, carrying out research work in collaboration with the team

**Your qualifications and competences**
- Completed scientific university degree, preferably in natural sciences or engineering
- Proven professional experience of at least three years in project management, ideally in an international context
- Very good command of English, good communication skills
- Ability to work in a team, initiative and an independent way of working, a confident demeanour and intercultural sensitivity are also expected
