The clinic has its cyclotron, radiopharmaceutical GMP laboratories, a PET/CT combination device, a PET/MR combination device, an animal PET, a SPECT/CT and three other gamma camera systems.
- Together with the University Hospital Ulm, the Clinic for Nuclear Medicine is part of the network of the Centres for Personalised Medicine (ZPM) of the four university hospitals in Baden-Württemberg and one of the top research locations in the network of the "National Centre for Tumour Diseases" with Tübingen and Stuttgart. As part of the Collaborative Research Centre 1279 on using the human peptidome for developing new antimicrobial and anti-cancer therapeutics, our focus is on molecular imaging and therapy. One goal of scientific research in "Medical Radiation Physics" is the development of targeted molecular diagnostics and treatment. One focus is on individualising molecular radiotherapy using physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) and pharmacodynamic models. Increasing integration of machine learning approaches is being sought.**Your tasks**:
- Carrying out research work on the DFG joint project with the cooperation partners at the TU Munich "Individualised radioligand therapy planning based on quantitative PET/ MR and PBPK/ PD modelling: preclinical feasibility study" (GL 236/15-1).
- Development of PBPK/PD models in MATLAB (SimBiology)
- Rigorous testing of all model components and model validation
- Development of simulation algorithms
- Error estimation of the entire modelling, fitting and simulation process
