Allied Metals is the leading global supplier of pure iron for advanced manufacturing. **What you’ll do as a Commercial Associate**:
- Manage your own book of business, including matching existing customer requirements with the right products, preparing quotes, negotiating prices, and closing orders.
- Develop new business opportunities by identifying potential customers for emerging products, learning about their needs, cultivating relationships, overseeing trial orders, and establishing recurring sales.
- Handle sales administration, including inputting sales orders, coordinating with our production team and other internal and external stakeholders, and facilitating logistics around the world.
- Embrace new challenges and responsibilities with gusto. In our flat organization, no one says “that’s not in my job description.”
- This is a hybrid position; you can live anywhere in Western Europe that’s within an easy drive/train trip of our offices in Düsseldorf or Lyon.
**What you’ll bring**:
- Fluency in German and English (Spanish and/or French are a bonus).
- 3-5 years of B2B Sales and/or purchasing experience (a background in industry and/or manufacturing is preferred—some basic familiarity with chemistry is ideal).
- A roll-up-your-sleeves attitude; you’re a hands-on doer with a passion for learning, collaboration, and relationship building. You get the “big picture” and see the details at the same time. And most importantly, you love getting the job done.
- A high level of intrinsic motivation. This is an opportunity for a self-directed individual who values autonomy.
- A willingness to travel up to 25%, including regular visits to our offices in Düsseldorf and Lyon, and our factory in Liege (Belgium).
- Bachelor of Administration in Commercial majors (or similar) is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
- A driver’s license.
