**Plastic Material Expert (m/w/d)**
temorary / limeted for 12 months
**Responsibilities**:
- is responsible for the material verification and validation process as required to satisfy the internal and customers’ demands and reduce risk for NORMA
- is responsible for the content and output of the CVP/DVP for testing and calculation - ensuring that the necessary technical calculations are completed
- initiating and monitoring the required tests
- Together with product/system PDE and AE, is responsible for the definition of material requirements
- Lead and track material development projects acc NORMA PLC rules in close cooperation with other departments
- Share plastic material expertise and recommendations based on latest knowledge/expertise with colleagues on global base
- Can initiate the prototype process for internal research and/or for customer and internal testing
- Continuous direct contact with raw material suppliers, active participation in project teams and support of quality complaints
- Release of materials based on measurement/test reports (prototype & serial)
- Follows and implements the NORMA values and targets as defined by the Group processes, including the Group Core Values and the Code of Conduct.
- Initiates and can lead Global Excellence and VA/VE activities
- Develops and maintains the material guide lines, as well as carrying out material specific training
Your Profile:
- bachelor or master’s degree in mechanical engineering and/or plastics engineering or similar
- experience and knowledge on material science, material analysis and testing
- theoretical and practical experience and knowledge in processing of thermoplastic materials, especially injection moulding and extrusion
- Minimum three years’ experience in automotive in comparable position/role
- familiar with automotive processes such as APQP and DFMEA
- Fluent German and English language skills, written and spoken
- Good knowledge of MS Office (special focus on Excel and powerpoint) and skills in Windchill beneficial
- Pronounced communications skills in an international environment
- Accurate working style
- Team spirit, creativity
