**Your team**
- You will be part of the Macroprudential Policy Division in the Directorate General Macroprudential Policy and Financial Stability. The Directorate General provides analysis and policy advice on issues relating to macroprudential policy, financial stability, risk assessment, financial regulation, supervision and financial stability arrangements.

In your role as a Financial Stability Expert focusing on the legal aspects of macroprudential policy, you will be part of a team of 27 members of staff responsible for conducting analysis based on previous experience of the current policy framework and its implementation, and for carrying out innovative analytical work. You will work closely with colleagues from the national macroprudential authorities, the European Systemic Risk Board, European banking supervision and other business areas of the ECB.

**Your role**
- As a Financial Stability Expert focusing on the legal aspects of macroprudential policy you will:

- analyse the EU legislation covering the implementation and design of macroprudential instruments for banks;
- analyse the operationalisation of the ECB’s institutional role related to its financial stability tasks;
- carry out financial stability analyses, including the assessment of systemic risks and macroprudential policies, for countries participating in European banking supervision;
- coordinate and contribute to processes, briefings, notes, presentations, speeches and reports for the ECB’s committees and decision-making bodies;
- develop and maintain networks with counterparts at national central banks (which will include country visits), as well as at supervisory authorities and European and international organisations, such as the European Systemic Risk Board, the European Commission and the International Monetary Fund.

**Qualifications, experience and skills**
- Essential:

- a master’s degree or equivalent in law (see How you can join us for details on degree equivalences);
- in addition to the above, a minimum of two years’ professional experience (other than as a trainee or intern) of the legal aspects of financial stability and macroprudential policy;
- in-depth knowledge of the relevant EU legislation applicable to the conduct of macroprudential policy, based on a sound understanding of legal principles, concepts and techniques;
- proven experience in negotiations with internal and external stakeholders concerning complex and technical legal matters, as well as an ability to communicate about such matters using non-technical language;
- an advanced (C1) command of English and an intermediate (B1) command of at least one other official language of the EU, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
