**Financial Journalist - Citywire Switzerland**

Are you an English-speaking journalist with a passion for finance and markets? Citywire is looking for a proactive and ambitious journalist to write for our Swiss e-magazine and website. Since opening the office in 2013, we have established ourselves as the leading voice for wealth managers and fund selectors in Switzerland, Germany, and Austria. We have several new projects planned in the immediate future and are looking for a reporter to focus on our Swiss audiences. Based in our Munich office, you will have the chance to write for some of Switzerland's leading financial professionals and develop your career as part of an innovative editorial team.

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Write breaking news stories, compelling features, and in-depth articles for Citywire Switzerland's e-magazine and website.
- Cover a wide range of financial topics, including independent asset managers, portfolio managers, fund management units, and banks.
- Build and maintain a strong network of industry contacts within the Swiss financial community.
- Actively contribute fresh ideas for both the magazine and the website.
- Produce content that engages the Swiss financial audience, while working with Citywire’s editorial standards.
- Stay informed about financial markets, the economy, and emerging trends to provide timely, insightful reporting.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Journalistic Experience: Proven experience writing news stories and features, ideally with a financial focus.
- Strong English Writing Skills: Ability to write professionally and clearly in English.
- Language Skills: Proficiency in German and/or French is advantageous but not required.
- Relevant Qualification: A degree or equivalent experience in journalism, economics, or a related field.
- News Sense: Strong instinct for finding and reporting the biggest financial stories.
- Financial Interest: Passion for financial markets and the economy, or a willingness to learn.
- Swiss Financial Network: A network of contacts in the Swiss financial community would be a plus.
- Travel: Willingness to travel regularly to meet with financial professionals in Switzerland.
