Master Demand Planner (M/F/d)
Summary
As the global market leader in providing health care solutions to patients in need of cardiac surgery solution we are looking for a Master Demand Planner. This role is responsible for the sales and operations governance for site related demand management. The role has strong leverage and responsibility to manage the demand for production for one of two mayor value streams in the cardiopulmonary department of Livanova PLC. Forecast accuracy and proactive demand balancing are core responsibility within that role. The position requires active data management paired with cross functional alignment and decision making to ensure the company’s strategic goals.
General Responsibilities
- Collecting data from internal and external sources on factors known to affect demand
- Analyzing sales, stock, and other data statistics
- Reviewing historical sales trends
- Modeling the data to forecast future demand needs
- Managing information on occurrences that could impact demand execution like promotions or production delays
- Developing demand forecasts at multiple levels of aggregation for multiple time horizons
- Coordinating cross-functional research activities to reconcile significant variances
- Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
- Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
- Conduct monthly forecast maintenance.
- Represent site demand in S&OP meetings
- Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Single point of contact to global supply planning, Sales, Marketing, technical service and Master Production Scheduling
Close collaboration with
- Global supply and demand planning as well as with key accounts in Sales, Marketing and Regulatory
- Master Production Scheduling to align mid
- and long-term planning
- Production department heads to understand constraints
- Supply Chain Management collaboration on demand related tasks in regards of supply
Qualifications, Skills, and Experiences
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management or engineering background, with proven track record in a demand planning - or forecasting role, ideally in a medical device manufacturing or an automotive environment
- Several years’ experience in a global demand planning or forecasting role
- Profound knowledge of forecasting methods and statistical procedures
- Strong analytical skillset
- Deep understanding and profound experience in SIOP processes regarding execution and implementation
- Capability to handle multiple demands in a high mix - low volume environment
- Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
- Ability to handle big data with Excel and/or BI tools such as IBP
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a diverse and global company
- Fluent in English and German language
- Open for Travel up to 10 %
