**Job description**:
The Knowledge Centre for Organic Agriculture in Africa (KCOA) supports five regional Knowledge Hubs and their networks in North Africa, West Africa, Eastern Africa, Southern Africa and Central Africa. The Knowledge Hubs, consisting of 30 organizations in 17 countries, work together to improve access to and dissemination of knowledge on organic agriculture and agroecology. Through different activities, KCOA fosters the networking and strengthens relationships in the sector across Africa and beyond.
Under the coordination of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and the support of international expert organisations, civil society organisations in Africa are the stewards of KCOA implementation. The implementing partners prepare technical and methodological knowledge on organic production, processing, and marketing, support and train multipliers, and co-develop the KCOA digital knowledge platform. Altogether, KCOA brings innovative ways to transform the agri-food systems in Africa.
**Your tasks**:
During your internship you will support the following tasks:
- Collaboration in the maintenance and further development of the knowledge platform on organic agriculture in Africa consisting of database and website
- Support in advising the regional knowledge hubs on technical aspects of the database and website
- Collaboration in the regular, cross-regional digital technical exchanges and their documentation in the areas of knowledge management, knowledge dissemination and digital knowledge platform
- Support in internal and external communication, development of project presentations and contributions to public relations
- Support with current topics and issues, organizational and content-related support in day-to-day business, as well as participation in meetings, writing of meeting minutes
- Collaboration in the preparation of webinars, logístical and content-related co-organization of events (virtual workshops, etc.)
- Participation in various thematic events (online meetings, workshops, etc.)
**Your profile**:
- you are studying in the third semester or higher agricultural or environmental sciences, communication, international cooperation or a related field
- Understanding of organic agriculture and agroecology; interest in digital communication technologies and knowledge transfer
- Ability to present technical content in a concise and target group-oriented manner; good oral and written communication skills
- Business fluent in English; additional good knowledge of French and German would be an advantage
- Very good MS Office skills (especially Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, MS Teams, OneNote etc)
- Sensitivity to political and social conditions in developing and transition countries
- Initiative, creativity and good self-organization
