You will work on uncertainty quantification in the context of vision-based aircraft landing — and your research will focus on the intersection between Bayesian deep learning and computer vision.

**Your location**:

**Your tasks and responsibilities**:

- Develop uncertainty-quantification methods for deep learning.
- Benchmark the performances of the developed algorithm with current state of the art solutions.
- Present the work and results to the project team and the Airbus AI community.

**Desired skills and qualifications**:

- Enrolled fulltime student (d/f/m) within Computer Science or a similar field of study.
- Strong background in machine learning (e.g. projects, internships, work experience, etc.).
- Experience with Bayesian methods / uncertainty quantification in machine learning (e.g. Laplace approximation, variational inference, deep ensembles, etc.) is a big plus.
- Experience in computer vision (object detection and pose estimation) is also a plus.
- Strong coding skills in Python and PyTorch.
- Good working level in English.
