FUJIFILM Europe GmbH is the regional headquarter company of the FUJIFILM group based in Ratingen and represents the aforesaid business divisions throughout Europe and in some cases throughout EMEA. The strategic functions for each business area ('Business Domain') and for the corporate area are based here. The regional headquarter is responsible for setting the direction for the sales, marketing and technical development activities for the respective Business Domains as well as to set the direction for FUJIFILM Europe GmbH’s corporate governance, legal and compliance activities and to provide support to branches and affiliated companies in the region, always in accordance with the global headquarters’ (Tokyo) direction and strategy.

Overview:
The newly established European Environmental Social Governance (ESG) division is in full development. This new division will be responsible for ensuring that ESG principles are fully integrated into all our activities and decisions, to create long-term value for all our stakeholders, including customers, employees, and society.

We currently have a vacant position for an

**ESG Compliance Counsel **(f/m/d)**

at FUJIFILM Europe GmbH in Ratingen (Germany). The position is part of the ‘Intelligence and Stakeholders Engagement’ area of the new ESG division, and reports to both FUJIFILM Europe GmbH ESG Department Managers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide legal advice and support on ESG /Sustainability topics to local legal entities/ business teams, particularly focused on non-financial disclosure.
- Monitor and act on legal and regulatory developments in the areas of ESG/ Sustainability; study and analysis about all actual and future ESG regulations, directive (such as Green Deal, CSDDD etc.)
- Drafting, reviewing, standardizing ESG clauses within commercial agreements with customers and suppliers.
- Develop and deliver trainings and awareness raising activities addressing ESG/ Sustainability reporting topics tailored to local/ business-specific audiences.
- Collaborating with FUJIFILM Europe GmbH Compliance and Legal Department on cross department matters
- Collaborate with the Head of CC and ESG Management to address Greenwashing issues and check that European communication activities are compliant with the relevant European directives
- Coordinating external legal advisors.

Qualifications:
You have a high calibre professional legal background, with practical experience in a law firm and/or multinational corporation. You are a fully qualified lawyer and offer:

- Solid background in administrative and civil law,
- Corporate governance expert and interested in European ESG Directives.
- Ability to identify, manage and prevent legal and compliance risks.
- Comprehensive understanding of commercial objectives and competitive environment.
- High degree of professionalism, dedication, and self-motivation to excel in an international environment and ability to work proactively and under pressure.
- Team spirit and cross-cultural awareness. Ability to effectively and efficiently collaborate and build relationships with attorneys and different functions at all levels throughout the organization.
- International vision (constant updating on domestic and international regulations are prerequisites for conducting business).
- Context and risk analysis skills.
- Creativity and managerial skills.
- Good negotiation, strong oral and written communicator with an aptitude for critical thinking and succinctly presenting the best course of action.
- Knowledge of Fujifilm product lines (with preference experience within a Fujifilm EU subsidiaries) will be considered as a plus.
- Accuracy, confidentiality, and punctuality.
- Fluent in English.
- Available for travelling.
