The Lubricants Supply Chain (LSC) organisation plays a key role in producing our entire portfolio of lubricants and getting them to our customers. It drives cost competitive and reliable supply for our broad customer range and is key in reducing our own environmental footprint. For example, integrating re-refined Base Oils (RRBO) into our products, introduction of a range of biodegradable lubricants and improving our packaging.
**What’s the role?**
Grasbrook Lubricants Centre in Hamburg (GLC) is one of the biggest lubricant production sites within Shell and the biggest site within the European network. GLC is the centre for the Lubricants Supply Hub serving our customers in Germany, UK and Poland. As the Continuous Improvement Lead you drive operational excellence and promote a culture of continuous improvement within GLC and our Lubricants Supply Hub. You will collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to implement sustainable improvements.
You will foster a culture of continuous improvement by engaging and empowering employees at all levels of the organisation.
You lead and facilitate improvement projects, ensuring these are aligned with the Supply Hub’s goals.
You utilize different continuous improvement methodologies and tools (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, A3-problem solving).
You provide coaching, training, and guidance to employees at all levels, promoting a mindset of continuous improvement.
You align the continuous improvement agenda with the regional and global manufacturing excellence program.
**What we need from you**
- University Degree in Engineering or Economics
- Significant experience in a continuous improvement role, preferable within a production or manufacturing environment
- Excellent Analytical skills with the ability to identify root causes from complex data
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage and coach people
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and drive change in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in using relevant software and tools (e.g. PowerBI, Minitab, Visio, Tableau, Spotfire)
- Result driven with experience in Project Management
- Demonstrated ability to effectively work in a hybrid environment with regional and global stakeholders
- Fluent German language and solid English language skills. Role is located in Hamburg, Germany
