Accountant

**Position Overview**:
Accountant will support finance accounting team in Ball Trading Germany, Rexam Holding and Oss office and delivery of the internal and external reporting requirements monthly, quarterly and annually. This role will also be responsible for supporting German GAAP and local tax requirements, as well as the accounting for smaller German businesses and support of the consolidation of the German entities.

**Key responsibilities include**:

- Preparing external reporting (VAT, Federal Statistic bureau, Intrastat, etc.) and year-end-closing, reconciliation accounts, etc. for smaller German businesses in Holding Structure
- Preparing tax packs for consolidated German holdings entity and accounting journals for GBS
- Supporting LRD controlling and data analysis
- Consolidating work of all German entities into Rexam Holdings acc German GAAP
- Supporting execution of internal controls (Group Compliance Framework, SOX)
- Communicating with auditors, tax consultants and internal audit
- Supporting the backup for the controller in the Dutch Oss office
- Key User SAP FI, Intrastat reporting, VAT and Customs postings

**Experience and skills required**:

- Degree in Economics or certified accountant
- Job related experience in accounting, with main domain in BS accounting
- Work collaboratively across departments
- Knowledge of SAP R3
- Knowledge MS office
- Knowledge of English language
