**FACTORY FINANCIAL CONTROLLER - BERLIN**
Altum Consulting are proudly partnering with our client to support their search in hiring a Factory Financial Controller for their recently opened manufacturing plant in Berlin.
Our client is one of the worlds most renowned names in sustainability and have been leading the way to encourage lower emissions across the world.
The Factory Financial Controller will be reporting directly to the Senior EU Finance Manager located in Amsterdam and will have ownership of an array of key financial activities for the Factory.
**Role & Responsibilities;-**
- Leading and overseeing day-to-day financial reporting activities of the factory
- Preparation of accurate and timley monthly/annual accounts and financial reports
- Overseeing all financial transactions and identifying any errors with the bookings
- Ensuring all financial transactions have been booked in accordance with the correct accounting regulations
- Provide detailed financial insights to the management team based on the performance of the Factory in Berlin
- Advising on accounting processes, policies and any accounting issues
- Identifying and executing any process or IT improvements that can be made to create better efficiencies within the accounting team
- Working closely with the finance team in Amsterdam and the US by providing accurate figures for consolidation purposes
- Reconciliation from accounting principles US GAAP to HGB and vice versa
- Completing regular assessments based on risks and opportunities within the financial department
- Main contact person for auditors and other external local authorities
**Education & Experience:
- **
- 7 years of experience working in a similar Accounting/Controlling function
- Educated with a degree in Finance, Controlling, Business Administration or equivalent
- Formal accountancy qualification is highly desired
- Extensive knowledge of HGB/German GAAP is essential. Knowledge of US GAAP is desired
- Proven experience working in a matrix and international organization
- Sound understanding of accounting and business processes within an international group
- Able to work independently on highly complex topics
- Fluent in both German and English in writing and speaking is essential
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar financial reporting systems, Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
