_Neuroinflammation & Data Science_ group within the
_Translational Neurosciences_ department is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated
Senior Research Assistant (f/m/d)
Neurodegenerative Diseases
Full-time and permanent
Your key responsibilities:
- Perform cellular, molecular biology and biochemical laboratory experiments
- Develop and implement biochemical and/or immuno-assays using primary cells, cell lines or iPSC-derived glial cells and/or neurons for identification of novel compounds treating neurodegenerative diseases
- Design and perform biochemical or phenotypic assays independently in microtiter plate format on various technology platforms
- Support the development of translational assays for driving small molecule development towards the clinic
- Plan experiments and analyze the results for discussion within project team
- Ensure quality and timely delivery of data
- Record experiments punctually in electronic notebook
Your ideal qualifications:
- BTA, MTA or Biology Laboratory Technician, bachelor’s or master’s degree in life sciences or related fields with several years of professional laboratory experience
- Work experience in neurodegeneration, preferably in a Pharma, Biotech, or a CRO setting
- Substantial hands-on experience in cell culture and image or immunoassay technologies (e.g. Immunocytochemistry, ELISA, MSD, Singulex, HTRF, Western blotting)
- Experience with standard molecular and biochemical techniques such as transient transfections, qPCR, etc. is a plus
- Dynamic personality with high levels of drive, enthusiasm and commitment and ability to cope with pressure
- Excellent team spirit and capability of working with a wide degree of autonomy and independence
- Ability to work in a cross-functional team
- Fluency in written and spoken English
