We are looking for an enthusiastic, passionate and entrepreneurial
Senior Director (all genders)
Business Development, Protein Homeostasis
Full-time and permanent
Located at one of Evotec’s sites in Europe, reporting into the
_Vice President Global Business Development, Oncology_.
In addition, Evotec cooperates with pharmaceutical, biotech, not-for-profit and academic organizations in their drug discovery research activities offering a comprehensive panel of activities from target identification to IND through a highly sophisticated and integrated drug discovery platform.
Within this environment, you will ensure and drive the future commercial success by taking responsibility for building new business opportunities and partnerships in a collaborative manner with other BD and R&D functions to find new partners and licensees across therapeutic modalities and therapeutic areas.
Your key responsibilities:
- Responsibility for Partnering & Licensing of protein homeostasis opportunities- Understand and present pre-clinical projects and platform technologies, establish business plans and establish appropriate deal structures ensuring the best possible partnership outcomes- Serve as a known Business Development entry point at Evotec for internal colleagues as well as for our outside partners- Contribute to identifying value / revenue generating opportunities as well as to strategic and conceptual discussions
Your ideal qualifications:
- PhD or Master in life sciences (biology/biochemistry), ideally protein science or protein engineering background- Several years of work experience gained in Business Development/Licensing in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry and having been involved in closing of several deals/partnerships- Having a scientific background to understand and explain all pharmaceutical treatment modalities within their target space as well as state-of-the art (platform) technologies- A good knowledge about protein homeostasis with a sound understanding of the biopharmaceutical development processes within the different regulatory, commercial and market access frameworks- Knowledge about licensing and contract negotiations- Passion for innovation and for working in a highly competent team within a global organisation- Intercultural and cross-functional competence to interface globally internally and externally- Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills- Excellent English language skills, German language working proficiency is a plus- Willingness and flexibility to travel
