As the QM&EHS team, we are responsible for introducing productive and sustainable improvements for occupational health and safety at the Berlin site. Bring your knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm for occupational health and safety from your previous technological environment to our technology company. As an EHS Specialist, you will be a pillar of the EHS team and ensure continuous improvement of EHS awareness and activities across all departments with your analysis, planning, and initiatives.
Role and responsibilitiesConduct risk assessments and provide occupational health and safety advice to the departments at the Berlin site
-Prepare, evaluate, and report EHS KPI to QM&EHS management
-Plan EHS audits, aligned with occupational health and safety objectives, ISO 45001, internal best known methods, and EHS risk management
-Coordinate internal audits with the CRE department
-Propose work topics and Kaizen initiatives for the EHS roadmap, derived from EHS KPIs and internal audit results
-Prepare and conduct internal audits according to the EHS audit plan
-Promote occupational health and safety awareness, and reduce risks by implementing Kaizen initiatives
-Maintain IMS specifications for product safety, training, internal consulting, and internal audits for compliant implementation of the Machinery Directive
-Hold train on EHS processes, software tools, and root cause analysis methods
-Maintain and optimize an automated emergency notification chain for working alone
Education and experience
Education:
Technical degree (MSc) in precision mechanics, mechanical engineering, process engineering, or equivalent qualification
Professional experience / Personal requirements:
-At least 3 years of experience in the area of occupational health and safety and environmental protection with a manufacturing company in the chemical or precision engineering industry
-Training as an occupational safety specialist, or equivalent qualifications
-Solid knowledge of legal requirements for occupational health and safety, and of ISO 45001, as well as experience in machinery design and CE-compliant documentation, aligned with Directive 2006/42/EC
Strong communication skills
-Very good knowledge of German and English
-Ideally, relevant additional qualifications (e.g., ergonomics, industrial hygiene, explosion protection, noise, ISO 14001, project management, etc.)
