**Job overview**:
TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develops & implements the 3 - 5-years regional commodity strategy - in accordance with the Global, Regional and Local needs and in alignment with the corporate commodity plan
- Performs market analysis to monitor current / future trends within the assigned commodity (new players, new technologies, alternative RM etc.)
- Develops BCC share and grows the business in Asia
- Responsible for development of supply base & Cost Reductions / Compliance / other deliverables for assigned commodity
- Responsible for monthly / yearly reporting & Profit Plan /Budget for assigned commodity
- Manages Regional team (5 direct reports, 1 Indirect)
- Builds and utilizes communications channels with Regional Business Unit (BU) leadership to assure BU performance needs / service level requirements are met
- Performs annual / periodic negotiations with suppliers
- Assures cash flow targets are delivered
- Provides support, when needed, to Quality and Supply Chain Team

**Requirements**:

- Strong business acumen and analytical skills to assess complex data
- 7+ years of experience in sourcing (direct procurement), preferably in one of following industries Automotive / Appliances / Aerospace
- Experience in sourcing Resins, Chemicals & Silicone will be a plus
- Experience in cost analysis, price breakdowns
- Experience in Contract Management
- Supplier Management & Strong negotiation skills
- Strong sense of intuition and ability to anticipate outcomes of actions
- Ability to influence and take decisions
- Critical thinking & curiosity
- Strong potential and willingness to grow within Procurement organization
- Team Player
- Positive attitude, sense of humor and solid dose of pragmatism will be a plus
