About You

As the Transport coordinator - Northern Europe, you will support in the control of a pan European full and part load road transport operation across Europe, managed by Kimberly-Clark’s outsourced service provider (4PL). You will own the relationship and delivery of the contract with the third party (3PL) and fourth party (4PL) providers in Northern Europe, whilst giving direction, support and a collaborative approach to the wider UK & Western Europe team.

You will be working collaboratively with the 4PL and the European transport manager to continuously improve, monitor and evaluate the cost and service of Kimberly-Clark's transport activities and ensure that transport delivers against our ways of working. Furthermore, you will be working closely with the Kimberly-Clark European Supply Chain organization to improve processes which add value to the business and improves our position in terms of cost, cost savings and service, whilst innovating to ensure we improve our customer experience.

You will report to the UK & WE Transport Sustainability Leader and will be an individual contributor (no direct reports).

This is primarily Northern Europe based but has some European responsibility and there is some European travel involved.

**YOUR KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Owning the contractual delivery of the 3PL / 4PL service in Northern Europe, ensuring that the contractual obligations of both parties are met and devising local market strategies for tendering and service improvement
- Continually monitoring service levels enacting strategies to address service failings on a corrective action, preventive action basis, whilst leading on problem solving through lean methodologies
- Developing a technology and service improvement roadmap over the life of the contract with the 4PL
- Building strong internal stakeholder networks within the supply chain, building transport forecasting models and tracking accuracy to forecast, ensuring that transport is integrated into their thinking
- Controlling and reporting on the extra service requests, higher rate authorisation and additional costs within transport
- Leading on cost transformation projects within transport and assist in sharing best practice across the wider European team
- Providing contractual input to build win win scenarios when onboarding new suppliers, being actively involved in ensuring that Kimberly-Clark requirements are fully understood and realized

**WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU**:

- Experience within a transport operation either in house or external, ideally managing complex 4PL contracts and supplier management within transport
- Knowledge of EU transport legislation
- Strong negotiation, prioritization skills
- A good sense of team work and the ability to make decisions based on win win scenarios
- English fluent, local language is a plus
