Tasks

As our Head of Finance and Operations, you will play a pivotal role in steering our financial and operational course towards a successful Series A round over the next 12 months. Your role will be hands-on initially, requiring a blend of entrepreneurial skills and resilience. Post-Series A, we foresee this position evolving into a more strategic role with team leadership responsibilities. Your key tasks will include:

- Work directly with the CEO to shape the structural, legal, and operational foundations.
- Take full ownership of the finance functions, including fund allocation, budgeting, and daily financial operations like payroll and benefits.
- Actively assist in fundraising efforts and financial planning for our Series A round.
- Oversee legal coordination and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Lead and implement strategic initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
- Take responsibility for developing and refining internal HR, procurement, and other processes to ensure effective scalability.
- Lead and coordinate internal projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
- Establish and maintain quality standards for internal operations.

**Requirements**:

- BA/BS in business or a related field, with a Master's, LLM, or MBA as a plus.
- Have 3-5 years of multidisciplinary experience in finance, operations, legal, and compliance within a challenging professional environment.
- Comfort with ambiguity, a problem-solving mindset, and adaptability to rapid change.
- Experience in building teams/organizations in fast-growing startups is advantageous.
- Entrepreneurial drive, a strong sense of responsibility, high ambition, and a collaborative approach to achieving goals.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both German and English and the ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Familiarity with collaborating with R&D teams is a plus.
- Having work experience in a startup or venture capital is a plus.
