At Evotec’s headquarters in Hamburg, Germany, the Global Legal & Compliance Team is seeking a highly motivated and dedicated
Senior Legal Counsel (f/m/d)
Regulated Businesses (pre-clinical)
Full-time and permanent
You will be an integral member of the Evotec Legal & Compliance team and report to the VP Head of Global Compliance & Legal Director.
Your key responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support on (pre-) clinical business activities (e.g. collaborations with clinics/ external investigators, procurement and handling of human derived research materials) and other Regulatory or Compliance matters for Evotec SE and the affiliated group companies globally
- Support Evotec’s commercial and operational functions on regulated business activities and other Compliance matters, also on new business opportunities: this includes examination of the legal and regulatory aspects, reviewing and creating all kinds of commercial agreements (CDA, MTA, Company Sponsored Research, Collaborative Research, Investigator Initiated Research, In
- and Out-Licensing agreements etc.), representing the company in the corresponding negotiations with third parties
- Provide legal advice and support for interdisciplinary projects, also outside the usual legal scope of duties
- Prepare and review standard operating policies and procedures, contract specimen, standard templates and processes
Your ideal qualifications:
- Fully qualified lawyer with good understanding of (pre-) clinical research & business activities and other regulatory matters as well as commercial processes
- Working experience in the Pharma/ Biotech sector including the field of GDPR and GLP/ GMP/ GCP and (non-) interventional studies is a plus
- Solid negotiation skills with the ability to convince at all levels
- Clear and open communication style to interact effectively across functional, geographic and cultural boundaries within the company and externally
- Self-starter, who is resourceful and able to work effectively both independently as well as with teams
- Can handle complexity of the work under pressure and meet deadlines while remaining highly organized
- Well-developed analytical and critical thinking skills; high attention to detail
- Fluency in written and spoken English and German
