**About the role**:
Overview:
The Category Executive is a crucial role to further strengthen the Dyson Hair Care category in Germany. The focus of this role is to support the Hair care category and wider marketing team in all aspects of marketing Dyson technology within the German market.

The Category executive will plan, lead and execute Hair Care projects. Working with a cross function team both within Germany and Group, the Category Executive will help realize the category strategy, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Key Account, Retail Activation, Digital, PR, Trade Marketing, Creative and Finance. They will stand for the product category, lead projects and be determined to deliver excellent execution to reach our ambitious growth targets.

Accountabilities:

- Drive commercial success by fully understanding the market, consumer, influencers, competitors, and retail customers in the Hair Care category
- Support with implementation and delivery of the key marketing campaigns plan, local projects, influencer activation, media budget and implementation.
- Support the planning and execution of new product launches across all channels. Manage many stakeholders to realize plans on time and on budget, clearly communicate updates to the wider team and find solutions to any problems that arise.
- Partner with the sales team to deliver a joint sales and marketing plan to maximise Dyson’s business in all accounts and an aligned channel strategy.
- Help drive performance of all sales channels by working very closely with Direct and Indirect teams. Monitor sales, use data and insights to find new opportunities. Use written communication to keep all stakeholders informed and aligned to our category strategy.
- Be able to analyse financials and work with insights (e.g., GFK data, BHI, other insights studies) to present business risks and opportunities. Feed consumer insights back into our plans and campaign execution.
- Work with EU and local creative team on artwork production, ensuring all items are on brand and comply with legal guidelines, whilst meeting the needs of relevant stakeholders (Retail, Direct, PR and Marketing)
- Crosscheck translations and assets for different marketing activities.
- Establish strong relationships with other European Commercial teams to identify common opportunities and/or challenges.
- Close cooperation and exchange with the head office in the UK and other Dyson markets
- Continuously and proactively manage category Brand Building Investment (BBI) working closely with the Category lead and other budget holders
- General support for the full breadth of Dyson’s marketing activity in Germany.

Fulfil other duties as required:

- Pick up new activities that fall broadly in the purpose of the role
- Fix things that you can see need fixing
- Identify problems and find solutions.
- Promote and demonstrate Dyson behaviours.

**About you**:

- Ideally has previous experience (min. 1 years) in marketing, product management, brand management or comparable
- Experience working closely with and partnering with cross functional teams especially, Sales, Insights, Digital and other marketing related functions
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration with a focus on project management, strong commercial acumen and analytical skills
- Applies consumer insights in every step/decision/day
- Has demonstrated the ability to bring in new ideas and is ultimately focused on execution and makes sure things get done
- Strong oral and written communication and influencing skills in order to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization within Germany, our Head Quarter in UK and other market hubs.
- Natural problem solver, have strong organizational skills and a hands-on mentality. You are target-oriented and proactive
- Fluent in English - both written and orally. German Language skills is advantageous but not required
- Demonstrate a passion for Dyson and its products; as well as the drive to understand the technical details of the products
- An engaged, creative, quick thinking and alert person with the potential to generate and stimulate ideas and opportunities
- Team player who is passionate, flexible and willing to go beyond job description
- Proven ability to juggle a large workload, set appropriate priorities and someone who is focused on delivering to plan
- Ability to build relationships across functions and with multiple stakeholders
