Now our client, a Japanese automotive supplier, is seeking for its Wolfsburg branch a

**strategic purchaser (M/F/d)**

**Your responsibilities**:

- Monitoring and analysis of procurement markets
- process procurement transactions
- compare target and actual states (deviation analysis, cost control) and initiate countermeasures if necessary
- select strategical suppliers, develop and maintain supplier relationships incl. signing of contracts
- negotiate with suppliers
- cooperate with other departments and branch offices in purchasing issues

**Your profile**:

- commercial or technical degree in economics, business administration, industrial engineering or comparable qualifications
- relevant working experience as a strategic purchaser, ideally in the metal and / or automotive industries
- technical understanding
- profound knowledge of calculation methods and costs factors
- experience in finding new suppliers is an asset
- very good English and German language skills (written and spoken)
- ready to travel
- drivers license
- strong negotiation and communication skills
- open-minded personality with intercultural skills
