**Job description**:
Our German-English **Phorms Campus Berlin Mitte** is conveniently located in the heart of the city. A nursery, a primary school and a secondary school are all located under one roof - a total of 930 children and young people currently learn and play together within an international campus community. The framework for our international orientation is our bilingual concept, which we implement according to the immersion method. Alongside the charming brick building, the special features of our location are the family-like atmosphere and the kind-hearted spirit. The campus also offers two gyms, a theatre hall and a library flooded with light.

**Phorms Berlin Mitte** is part of the _Phorms Education SE_ network of bilingual schools and nurseries, that has been enriching the educational landscape in Germany since 2006.

**Teacher in Mathematics** **for Grades 5 to 12**:

**Your Responsibilities**:

- Planning of appropriate and competence-oriented lessons for Grades 5 to 12 on the basis of the given curricula
- Creating a positive, supportive and welcoming learning environment in the classroom
- Ideally teaching physics or science in addition to mathematics
- Assessment of students work, including the preparation and correction of deliverables and marking for report cards
- Examining and holistically preparing students for written and oral German school leaving exams
- Use of differentiated teaching methods and materials to meet the varying needs and interests of students
- Organisation, implementation and follow-up of parent-teacher conferences and parent-teacher meetings
- Enriching teaching with digital media
- Participation in school events, departmental meetings and team meetings to help continuingly develop the school

**Your Profile**:

- Qualified secondary school teacher and holder of a Master's degree (in mathematics, education, secondary education and or equivalent) and/or a PGCE/PGDE
- Ideally, practical teaching experience in a secondary school setting
- An interest in the development and implementation of new pedagogical concepts that focus on the individualized development of students
- Passionate and motivated to engage with our pedagogical concept
- Act as a role model for students and enjoy teaching in a secondary setting

The Phorms network includes seven German-English bilingual nurseries, primary and secondary schools as well as the Heidelberg International School (H.I.S.). Our independently managed schools and nurseries are located in Berlin, Erlenbach, Frankfurt am Main, Hamburg and Munich.

Our campus in **Berlin Mitte** and our campus in **Berlin Steglitz-Zehlendorf **includes three institutions under one roof. From nursery and primary to secondary the students are taught both in German & English using the immersion method.

Phorms Berlin gemeinnützige GmbH was founded in 2006 and is located in an attractive red-brick building in central Berlin. This is where we celebrated our **10th birthday** in summer 2016. We are thus the oldest and largest of all Phorms schools.

Bilingualism is key to the Phorms concept. Our secondary school continues the **bilingual concept** introduced in nursery and primary school. Teaching takes place at native speaker level in German and English. Yet, our curriculum is based on the outline curriculum of the federal state of Berlin.
