As a Senior IPR Counsel/Specialist you’ll be part of a team specialized for creating and managing a patent portfolio for ensure the technology evolution and leader of Nokia’s product Business. You will be working together with seasoned experts having long experience in legal, IPR and/or technical side as well with the Nokia inventor community. The work includes co-operation with e.g. Business unit product experts, standardisation and research in Nokia Bell Labs and with in-house and external counsels.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

The key responsibilities of the Patent Attorney will include, but are not limited to the following:

- Identifying, capturing, and managing IPR, with particular emphasis on invention evaluation.
- Preparing claim charts in support of litigation and licensing activities
- Reviewing claim charts and collaborating with experts to ascertain the claim scope
and mapping to business-critical product implementations.

The Patent Attorney appointment is key within the IP Department of Nokia. The person appointed will have the opportunity to achieve considerable success within this long established and well-respected organisation. **REQUIRED SKILLS**:
**Your skills and experience**

You have:

- Master’s degree in electrical engineering, telecommunication, computer science or Information Technology
- A solid knowledge of wireless communication standards (4G/5G/ORAN/5GAdv/6G) and the respective Radio Network Technologies (e.g. RF HW, Baseband Processing; Sub THz, MIMO, SoC HW/SW, RAN CTRL, O&M, Cloud RAN, applied AI/ML in wireless products)
- An approachable, “team-player” attitude and confidence in interaction with product research and development colleagues and others across the business
- Ability to prioritise effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Fluency in English as the working language of the company.

It would be nice if you also had:

- Deep knowledge of patenting computer implemented SW inventions in AI/ML
- Deep knowledge of Nokia’s and/or third-party products and the respective technical implementations
- Strong post-qualification experience, ideally within an industry setting
- German, French, or Finnish language skills.
