The Faculty of Process and Systems Engineering (FVST) seeks to fill the following vacancy at the Institute of Chemistry (ICH):
Research Associate / PostDoc (M/F/d) as part of the ERC project 3DPartForm

**Job description**:
**Tasks**:

- Synthesis of monomers / macromers for surfactant design (e.g., ABA, AB copolymers)
- Implementation of multi-functionality / -responsiveness towards triggered degradability (e.g., via light, mechanical forces, sound)
- Characterization of surfactant properties and decomposition products via NMR, IR, light scattering
- Development of first independent research profile
- Publication in peer-reviewed journals

**Requirements profile**:

- Master's degree and PhD in chemistry, soft matter, polymer sciences, macromolecular chemistry
- Experience in microfluidics and amphiphile design as well as organic synthesis under inert conditions (Schlenk technique) is a plus
