Im Rahmen eines neuen Forschungsnetzwerks, das an der Georg-August-Universität Göttingen eingerichtet wurde - Graduiertenkolleg (GRK) 2906 Neugier - schreiben wir hier eine Postdoc-Stelle für zunächst drei Jahre aus, mit der Möglichkeit der Verlängerung um weitere zwei Jahre (Verlängerung abhängig von einer Leistungsbewertung). Das Projekt wird voraussichtlich am 1. August 2024 beginnen.
Die Wissenschaftler*innen des GRK 2906 werden die neuropsychologischen, biologischen und computergestützten Grundlagen der Neugier erforschen. Das Forschungsnetzwerk besteht aus einem hochgradig interdisziplinären Konsortium von Psycholog*innen, Biolog*innen sowie System
- und Computer-Neurowissenschaftler*innen, die gemeinsam an der Beantwortung dreier umfassender Forschungsfragen arbeiten werden: (A) Wann sind wir neugierig? (B) Warum sind wir neugierig? und (C) Wie sind wir neugierig? Der*die Postdoktorand*in wird zusammen mit den PIs eine Reihe von interdisziplinären Forschungsprojekten entwickeln, die entwicklungsbezogene und vergleichende Perspektiven zu diesen Fragen zusammenbringen. Insbesondere wird der*die Forscher*in Projekte entwickeln, die verschiedene Spezies und menschliche Kinder über die gesamte Entwicklung hinweg in ähnlichen Paradigmen und möglicherweise an verschiedenen Standorten innerhalb und außerhalb des GRK testen. Ein Schwerpunkt solcher Projekte wird die Untersuchung der Verallgemeinerbarkeit von neugiergesteuertem Verhalten über Arten und Entwicklungsstufen hinweg sein.
**Ihr Profil**:
- Eine sehr gute Promotion (oder gleichwertiger Abschluss)
- Hintergrund in Entwicklungspsychologie und/oder vergleichender Psychologie, wobei Kandidat*innen, die an der Schnittstelle zwischen diesen Bereichen arbeiten, bevorzugt werden
- Interesse an der Entwicklung und Leitung von Kooperationsprojekten mit promovierten Forschenden und PIs
- Erfahrung in der Lehre und der Betreuung von Studierenden im Grundstudium
- Interesse und/oder Erfahrung in der Einwerbung unabhängiger Mittel zur Förderung des Forschungsprogramms
- Ausgezeichnete Beherrschung der englischen Sprache
- Ausgezeichnete Fähigkeiten zum kritischen Denken und zur Kommunikation
