**Exposure Modelling Expert (M/F/d)**

In this position you are part of the Environmental Safety Exposure Team, which combines experimental, modelling and assessment experts, and is a key contributor to the regulatory and business success of our projects and products.

**YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Take full responsibility for all model-based environmental exposure and risk assessments for your assigned compounds, according to international regulatory guidelines and agreed regulatory strategies
- Manage and monitor contracted modelling activities for standard and higher-tier exposure and risk assessments
- Take the lead for all types of geo-based exposure assessments, using e.g. GIS or spatially-distributed exposure models, and actively drive the further development and improvement of such approaches internally and externally
- Develop and implement innovative and refined modelling approaches, in particular for linking exposure and effect modeling, and for consideration of risk mitigation and risk management options
- Support planning and conduct of standard and higher-tier studies (e.g. in Environmental Fate, Ecotoxicology, or Residue Analysis), the interpretation of experimental data, and their use for regulatory purposes, in cross-functional expert teams
- Actively monitor and shape globally the evolving regulatory requirements for exposure modelling, and proactively integrate new requirements into existing assessment schemes, workflows, and digital tools
- Support the sustainability commitments of Bayer by actively driving and constantly improving the environmental safety of our compounds and products
- Represent the company in meetings with authorities, stakeholders (e.g. industry associations) and the scientific community

**WHO YOU ARE**
- You have a university degree in natural sciences (chemistry, biology, agronomy, etc.), or a comparable technical and scientific background in a relevant area of expertise
- You have a PhD from an internationally acknowledged institution, or equivalent (several years of) professional experience in a relevant area of expertise
- You have in-depth technical expertise in regulatory environmental exposure models, and in particular in-depth experience with geo-based modelling approaches
- You have a good understanding of environmental processes, the environmental fate of compounds, and of environmental modelling in a regulatory context
- You are interested in technical and scientific challenges, motivated and able to overcome the complexity and ambiguity of tasks, to drive fact-based conclusions and decisions
- You are striving for constant improvement and innovation, and can inspire change in complex organizations
- You are interested and able to work in international and interdisciplinary teams
- You have good communication skills, your verbal and written English is fluent
