**POSITION DETAILS**

**_ Position Summary_**

This position will work with the global sourcing team, suppliers, and site teams of CIRCOR Industrial in Europe for strategic sourcing of commodities including castings, machining, fabrication, mechanical distribution, etc. The individual will work with mínimal supervision with primary responsibility of developing BCC suppliers for the European sites. This is a regional role in strategic sourcing based out of Radolfzell, Germany.

**_ Principal Activities_**
- Ownership of direct and indirect material savings and delivery through development of BCC supplier base.
- Develop supplier base in Turkey, Eastern Europe, Northern Africa, and Asia
- Responsible for executing global supply chain strategy, including long term contracts, supplier consolidation, vendor managed inventory contracts, and material productivity for European sites of CIRCOR Industrial.
- Collaborate with Commodity Managers to conduct commodity and supplier analysis to recognize and implement potential opportunities, gaps and risk analysis, and areas for efficiency gains.
- Coordinate with sites, including site supply chain and operations leadership, to identify opportunities and drive projects for Year over Year cost savings for CIRCOR Industrial European Sites
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop SOPs that reflect business needs in a way to clearly communicate to supply base and effectively support the business units
- Conduct thorough RFQ process and supplier selection in order to achieve cost targets, adhere to contractual requirements, and follow strategic plans to execute Make to Buy / Buy to Buy transition projects
- Ascertain relevant market knowledge and best practices to offer alternative/improved solutions driving improvements in business operations
- Responsible for Supplier Performance Improvement initiatives for European sites of CIRCOR Industrial.

Job Requirements:

- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical / Production / Industrial / Metallurgy.
- Min. 5 years of experience in commodity / strategic sourcing function with good working experience with Europe and Asia based supply base.
- SAP knowledge is a plus.
- Demonstrated business and financial expertise
- Proven experience in effectively managing supplier relationships
- Strong oral and written communication/interpersonal skills
- Strong sourcing and contracting experience, with direct experience negotiating contracts
- Strong Project Management skill
- Strong knowledge in Castings & Machining manufacturing processes
- Hands on experience in Supplier Assessment, Supplier Risk Management & Contract Negotiation
- Hands on experience in Excel, MS Office Suite
- Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and cross regionally
- Ability to travel 30-40% (mainly across Europe)
- Ability to work onsite (not remote)
