Role: Project Controller
Location: Switzerland / Germany
We combine SNC-Lavalin’s project management expertise and Hitachi Energy’s deep technological knowledge to create a company dedicated to substations - we are Linxon
Are you a Project Controller looking to work for a global industry leader? If so, we want to hear from you. Reporting into our HUB Financial Controller you’ll support our projects In Germany with forecasting and reporting of project cost, cash, and revenues for monitoring and recording changes. You will be well versed in all financial aspects of large-scale engineering and construction projects ensuring that financial information aligns with project schedule.
What will you do?- Controlling - Work closely with the project management team to understand change and risks. Addressing mitigations and communicating them with stakeholders.- Commercial - Understand our contracts and how they pertain to invoicing and changes.- Cash Management - Ensure positive cash flow while also looking for improvement opportunities.- Reporting - Working with the HUB and Project to report on project progress, cost status, cash revenue and risk.
Education / Experience Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Quantity Surveying- 7-10 years’ experience as a project controller in Engineering, procurement, and construction management with focus on lumpsum price contract models- Subject matter expert in project costing, estimating, cost control functions and change control- Experienced in Planning and Forecasting- Experienced in Risk Management- Experienced in Earned value management- Knowledge of Performance management.- Great knowledge of time-related analysis.- Excellent computer literacy with experience in Planning and Cost control Standard tools and software.- Experience in Invoicing & Handling Bonds- Experience in reading & understanding contract documents- Knowledge of Oracle preferred- Fluent command on German & English Language.
