Join our innovative aerospace team and take part in shaping the future of space travel. We are currently seeking a skilled **Launcher Assembly Mechanic** (m/w/d) to join our team at a cutting-edge space company in Ottobrunn, Germany.
**Your Mission**:
As a Launcher Assembly Mechanic, you will play a pivotal role in assembling both rocket engines and complete rockets. Your responsibilities will include high-precision assembly of space components, machining carbon fiber composites, testing and measuring electrical and mechanical internals, as well as documenting and forwarding deviations. You will ensure compliance with standards, regulations, and quality guidelines, and actively contribute to continuous process improvement. Your role will also involve support with test setups.
**Who You Are and What You Have**:
To excel in this position, you should have:
- Completed vocational training as an aircraft mechanic, specializing in production engineering, maintenance engineering, or equivalent.
- Several years of professional experience in aviation and/or aerospace.
- Knowledge of gas/fluid bolting techniques.
- Strong drawing skills, spatial awareness, and a solid technical understanding.
- Willingness to undertake occasional assembly work at different locations.
- High-quality awareness.
- The ability to work under pressure, adaptability, and strong teamwork skills.
- High motivation to tackle complex challenges.
- Fluent in English, with knowledge of German as an advantage.
