Am Institut für Radioonkologie - OncoRay arbeiten Wissenschaftler (w/m/d) aus den Bereichen Medizin, Physik, Biologie und Informationswissenschaften gemeinsam daran, die Behandlung von Krebserkrankungen durch eine biologisch individualisierte, technologisch optimale Strahlentherapie entscheidend zu verbessern.

Das Hochfeld-Magnetlabor Dresden (HLD) betreibt modernste Materialforschung in hohen Magnetfeldern.

Zur Verstärkung der Abteilung Medizinische Strahlenphysik und des Hochfeld-Magnetlabors Dresden ist ab 1. August 2023 eine Stelle als **Vernetzungsdoktorand (w/m/d)** an beiden Instituten zu besetzen. Das Thema der Arbeit lautet: "**Magnetic shielding for real-time magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) integrated proton** **therapy**". Die Position ist für 3 Jahre befristet.

**Das sind Ihre Aufgaben**:
Sie erarbeiten wissenschaftliche Ergebnisse auf dem Gebiet der MR-integrierten Protonentherapie in der Forschungsgruppe "Experimentelle MR-integrierte Protonentherapie" und dem "Hochfeld-Magnetlabor Dresden", speziell zum Thema „Magnetic shielding for real-time magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) integrated proton therapy“ als Grundlage für die Erstellung der Dissertation. Dies umfasst:

- Durchführung von Literaturrecherchen
- Planung, Durchführung und Auswertung kombinierter Bestrahlungsexperimente und Magnetfeldmessungen
- Planung, Durchführung und Auswertung magnetischer Materialanalysen sowie von Computersimulationen
- Planung und Herstellung magnetischer Abschirmvorrichtungen
- Publikation und Präsentation wissenschaftlicher Ergebnisse

**Das zeichnet Sie aus**:

- Überdurchschnittlicher Hochschulabschluss (Master) im Bereich Physik, Engineering Physics, Medizinphysik oder in einem verwandten Studiengang, vorzugsweise mit vertieften Kenntnissen aus der Material
- und Strahlenphysik
- Anwendungsbereite Kenntnisse des jeweiligen Studiengebiets
- Beherrschung und Anwendung wissenschaftlicher Methoden
- Selbstständige Arbeitsweise
- Gute bis sehr gute Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift
