**Security Supervisor**

UPS Capital, a wholly owned subsidiary of UPS, is expanding in Europe. UPS Capital provides risk mitigation and financial solutions for business of all sizes and industries along global supply chains. In support of UPS Capital’s accelerated Digital Transformation, it is essential to acquire additional talent to the young established team. We are looking for a security supervisor who integrates customer solutions in order to build solid partnerships and increase profitability.

**Job Summary**

The UPSC Security Supervisor is responsible for the prevention and/or reduction of losses and ensuring that strategic accounts do not divert business away from UPS Capital due to damage or loss issues. He/She collaborates with customers, UPS districts and functions and other carriers to identify and understand areas of concern and to develop solutions that enhance UPS Capital's ability to provide a superior service.

**Responsibilities**:
**Manages Security Customer Relationships**
- Analyzes customer account information to ensure a thorough understanding of the industry, products, shipping characteristics, and loss history.
- Maintains regular contact with relevant executives in customer organizations (e.g., Security Managers, etc.) to establish one point of contact for customers regarding security issues and to build long-term partnerships.
- Mitigates serious loss issues through enlisting support from regions, districts, and various functions to resolve loss concerns quickly for the customer while protecting UPS Capital from liability.
- Gains intelligence from the customer on product and market developments to understand and protect UPS Capital against potential losses.
- Balances time with customer contacts to ensure customer needs are met.

**Collaborates with UPS Small Package, UPS Freight and outside freight carriers**
- Analyzes claims trend and provides risk mitigation solutions to UPS Capital Underwriting to support Loss Ratio plans for profitability and to enhance the customer experience.
- Collaborates with UPS and other carriers’ Security teams to share information on investigations and security concerns and to improve management of security issues.
- Reviews customer’s security procedures to assess their effectiveness and to ensure best practices are in place for enhancing security.
- Educates customers on security developments and available information to enhance their knowledge and effectiveness in managing security and to promote ownership in loss reduction.
- Assembles cross-functional teams to develop corrective actions for achieving loss and damage reduction and an improved customer experience.

**Determines and Executes Corrective Solutions**
- Collaborates cross-functionally to develop and implement alternative solutions for reducing loss and damage and to develop support and accountability.
- Advises on risk area activities (e.g., packaging, lane mapping, more direct routes, added security steps, etc.) to procure additional volume and revenue while reducing exposure to loss.
- Develops and implements risk mitigation processes cross-functionally that impact net margin through pricing and claims mitigation.
- Develops relationships with relevant law enforcement and regulatory agencies to collaborate on mutual concerns and interests.
- Participates in appropriate professional organizations to access reliable external sources of relevant information.
- Completes Physical Security audits and implements Corrective Action Plans to protect UPS Capital assets.

**Determines Loss Contributors**
- Analyzes damage and loss reports to identify trends and contributors impacting loss.
- Collects information from customers and internal functions and districts to determine future potential problems with new products and packaging (e.g., packaging draws attention to the contents, etc.).
- Investigates serious loss incidents.

**What you’ll need**:
