Bachelor Thesis Work: Numerical Study of Droplet Formation in Turbine Expansion Flows

Your work will include:

- Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) Analysis of a Turbine Expansion Flow
- Validation of Numerical Nucleation Models by Comparison with Data from Existing Validation Experiments
- Modeling of Spontaneous Nucleation with Coupling to the Turbine Flow

Prerequisites:

- Enrolled student within Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace or similar field of study
- Interest in Numerical Methods, Modelling and Programming
- Interest in Fluid Dynamics and Thermodynamics
- First experience with CFD tools (preferably Star CCM+)
- Previous experience with Python and/or Java would be helpful
- Basic Linux skills would be helpful
- English: Fluent
