Project Director Chip Development for Power Devices

You like to be at the pulse of time shaping technologies addressing the global Megatrend of decarbonization by enabling renewables and E-Mobility? You are a manager, a leader and curious about technical solutions? As Project Director for energy efficient chip development you are able to bring all these aspects into reality while interacting with all parties along the value chain of a power module.
In your new role, you will:
- **Lead development projects for IGBT / Diode and Wide Band Gap (SiC & GaN) wafer technologies **and take over ownership for sub-projects
- **Form, guide and motivate cross functional project teams across various Infineon sites **. You create energy and commitment by explaining and providing opportunities for your team members
- You take **on full project manager responsibilities **. This includes the overall project planning, development target alignments, resources and budget
- Maintain the **overview and understanding of technical interdependencies **in order to proactively identify the most complex challenges
- Set up and execute **proper risk management measures for all development activities**:
- **Align cross-functionally **with internal and external **stakeholders through all Management Level**
You are a self-motivated and enjoy dealing with demanding projects and products at the edge of new power technology generations. That offers a lot of scope for action and high-level exposure, both from a management and a technical perspective. As a role model for open communication and feedback, you know how to successfully align with various people internationally. Your structured working style helps you to remain aware of the big picture and drive projects´ success even in critical situations.
You are best equipped for those tasks if you have:
- A **degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics **or a related technical field, preferable a PhD
- At least **8 years of relevant working experience in the semiconductor or power electronic industry, thereof 6 years as a project leader**:
- **Proven track record of successful management **of large development projects
- An **IPMA Level C **or a comparable **certification**:
- The ability to **understand and structure complex project situations **; manage crisis situations, consolidate and **present those to senior management level**:
- A solid **technical understanding **of power electronic device physics, wafer technology development and semiconductor processing
- A **proactive mindset with strong communication and moderation skills **to align between various **intercultural stakeholders**:
- Excellent **English and German **language skills
