Lead Cashier

**Duties**:

- Serves as Lead Cashier, reporting directly to the Activity Manager. Leads three or more employees daily, including maintaining accountability for the activity change fund.
- Prepare cash drawers, verify and approve cashier's funds and balance sheet, balance the change fund and daily deposit accurately, and secure the back vault at all times.
- Ensures vouchers are accounted for and filled out correctly. Verifies cash, paperwork, and cash collections. Ensures that the daily collection funds are verified and deposited.
- Performs routine cashier duties as needed. Assists activity managers as they direct, develop, and administer plans, programs, and procedures to ensure a higher standard of service.
- Assists patrons with information about all programs offered by the Edelweiss Resort and the local area, as the job requires providing information to guests.
- Maintains a friendly, helpful demeanor around and towards guests to project a positive image for Edelweiss Lodge and our programs. Performs other duties as assigned.

**Qualifications**:

- Work experience performing similar duties. Education: High School graduate. Higher education in related fields is desirable but not required. Must possess the ability to communicate both orally and in writing. Must possess the ability to read, write, and speak English fluently. Must possess basic mathematical knowledge and use a calculator and cash register. Must have or be able to obtain current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR/AED training certification.

**Additional information**:

- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- All Federal NAF employees are required by PL 104-134 to have salary payments made by electronic funds transfer/direct deposit.
- A probationary period may be required.
- Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the government's interest.

- This is a Nonappropriated Fund (NAF) position carrying out Morale, Welfare and Recreation (MWR) activities for the Army.
