Munich Re Facultative & Corporate (F&C) bundles the global facultative and corporate business in one unit. In your role as Underwriter Facultative GC/NA (Global Client North America), you will be responsible for the production, underwriting and retention of profitable casualty business written as facultative reinsurance in the following markets: Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
You will strive for profitable growth and implement automated underwriting business cases. The diverse and wide range of markets and tasks will require broad technical insurance and reinsurance know-how as well as a variety of intercultural skills.

**Your job**
- Growing the portfolio with facultative reinsurance and digital/automated underwriting solutions covering the whole spectrum of casualty-class business
- Developing customer, class of business and product strategies, taking (claims) trends and customer needs into account, and implementing these strategies
- Assessing, accepting and administering (complex) facultative proportional and non-proportional reinsurance offers according to the underwriting guidelines and underwriting authorisation
- Tracking performance and producing premium and results estimates
- Working on market, customer and portfolio analyses and providing ideas to generate new business and innovative (product) solutions
- Communicating line of business topics proactively and supporting opinion leadership in the above markets
- Arranging and participating in internal and external professional training measures and seminars, including lecturing
- Collaborating with relevant interfaces such as Client Management, Treaty Underwriting and Claims

**Your profile**
- Preferably judicial or economics-related education or similar insurance-related education
- Multiple years of Casualty experience, ideally in Casualty primary insurance or facultative reinsurance
- Detailed knowledge in commercial and industrial lines
- Strong customer focus and excellent negotiation skills
- Solution-oriented, structured and creative mindset and approach
- Project management experience
- Excellent team player
- Fluency in German and business English
