The job

In this context, we are currently offering a Scientist position in cheminformatics (m/w/d)

Your tasks

The project aims to improve AI-based toxicity prediction by augmenting training data with physicochemical properties.
- Identify and evaluate data sources and in-silico tools for obtaining physicochemical properties.
- Develop a systematic workflow using these tools to allow small and large-scale generation of data sets for (re-)training AI approaches.
- Integration of the gained experience into existing in-house computational approaches to improve their predictive power.

**Profile**:

- Master’s degree in either chemistry, bio-/cheminformatics, computer science, or a similar field
- Ph.D. or work experience in cheminformatics is desirable
- A strong interest in contributing to predictive approaches in toxicology and environmental health by designing and developing open-source software packages
- Hands-on experience in programming using Python or R, preferentially using packages like RDKit, chemmineR or Chemprop
- Experience in developing machine learning software is desirable
- Ability to work independently and motivation to work in an interdisciplinary team
- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English
