At the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, the Centre for Interdisciplinary Regional Studies (ZIRS),

fill the following position commencing at the earliest opportunity and limited to October 31, 2025:
**Scientific employee - Horizon Europe PLANET4B Project**

**Senior Researcher on Behavioural Experiments (f-m-d)**

in part-time (50 %).

Remuneration is applied up to pay group 13 TV-L, depending on the assignment of duties and fulfilment of

personal requirements.

**Tasks**:

- Provide research support to the Horizon Europe PLANET4B project (grant agreement No 101082212) that

aims to understand how diversity within societies, particularly as reflected in values, norms, and behaviour,

relates to prioritisation of biodiversity, nature, and environment in decision making and how this can change

through various interventions at intrapersonal, interpersonal, and institutional levels.

theories in the biodiversity domain: particularly, 1) attention field experiment; 2) cross-country survey

experiment; and 3) survey experiment with business actors and contribute to WPs 2, 3, 4.
- Lead/contribute to publications arising from the project, including in peer-reviewed academic journals

**Requirements**:

- A completed University degree at the Master level (Master, Magister) in Behavioural Sciences or in a closely

related field (e.g., behavioural economics); a completed PhD is desired
- Experience and expertise in the aspects of behavioural change in the biodiversity domain, including

knowledge of 1) indirect drivers of biodiversity and 2) external validity of experiments
- A track record of high-quality peer-reviewed publications in the areas relevant for the project, particularly at

the intersection of economics and psychology (including information avoidance and multiple crises)
- Strong research and methodological skills to investigate the project-relevant topics (e.g. experience in the

development, implementation and data analysis of (representative) questionnaires as well as knowledge of

statistical programmes) are a great advantage
- Experience in third-party funded projects, particularly in an international and/or transdisciplinary context, is

a strong asset
- Motivation to work both independently and in a team, with a high degree of creativity and initiative
- Strong communication skills in German and English, both to maintain the relationships of the case studies

and within the international consortium
