Doncasters is a leading international manufacturer of high-precision alloy components made for the most demanding conditions with sites globally. We are looking for a Head of Finance and Accounting to join our team in Bochum.
Doncasters Bochum is one of our largest sites, employing approximately 500 employees. We manufacture vacuum cast blades and vanes, as well as the superalloys used in their production, supplying leading manufacturers globally in the aerospace and industrial gas turbine markets.
As a Head of Finance and Accounting you will use your expertise and experience in international manufacturing to support the organisation in achieving its operational successes.
This is an exciting opportunity with career progression to be the successor of the Finance Director.
Your Role
Leadership of the Finance and Accounting department including the associated teams of fixed asset accounting, accounts payable and receivable, as well as taxes and investment management
Responsibility for the creation and implementation of investment and liquidity planning and ensuring external financial reporting to the Group CFO
Leadership and project member of cross-functional projects
Creation of business evaluations, analyses, and statistics
Operational responsibility for all financial topics, particularly accounting and taxes
Partnering with the business on all financial matters and processes, including collaboration with external stakeholders, such as banks, insurance companies, auditors, and government agencies
Responsibility for the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB, IFRS, and IAS
Preparation of management reports including plan/target/actual and presentations of key figures and data, as well as aiding in decision making and providing recommendations in the context of organizational planning
Support of Controlling in the preparation of organizationally relevant reports, forecasts, and budgets
Responsibility for the internal control system (ICS) and audits

If you have any of these skills, we would love to hear from you;
University degree in economics, ideally with a focus on finance, accounting, controlling, or taxes, or an equivalent qualification as an international accountant or tax specialist
Relevant professional experience within accounting, preferably within a management role in a dynamic environment
Exceptional accounting knowledge according to IFRS, HGB, and tax law
Industry knowledge is desirable but not a requirement
Knowledge of Syspro, Hyperion and cash-pro is desirable but not a requirement
CIMA qualification
Business fluent German and English
