**IP Paralegal Lead (all genders)**

**with a start date December 1, 2023**

As our IP Paralegal Lead you will lead and direct the paralegal team in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. You will work with IP Region Heads in Europe and support regional IP team (patent attorney team) from patent administration perspectives.

**Your main responsibilities**:

- Manage, develop, and coach team members
- Ensure accurate and efficient maintenance of daily docketing and other patent related administrative tasks by paralegals
- Lead the team to provide timely and effective patent administration support for the European patent team including daily docketing, deadline management, working with Outside Counsel administration team, creating patent data lists, signature processes for patent documents and physical archiving
- Working together with Global Paralegal Coordinator to create, improve, and maintain paralegal operations (including creating, implementing, and updating various workflow guidelines and checklists) in a consistent manner with paralegals at other regions
- Develop and implement short-term and mid-to-long term goals of the team, including assisting with the MRP process
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with both internal and external key stakeholders through proactive networking activities.

**Your profile**:

- Minimum of 7 years of experience working in an IP department in the practicing area of patent administration.
- Sound experience with patent management software
- Ability to synthesize data and deliver a clear overview of the mid and long-range strategy, and the ability to manage issues and risks related to the implementation of initiatives and strategies.
- Ability to act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments and to supervise the activities of other lower-level personnel.
- Energetic self-starter with leadership and team building skills
- Seeks out and assigns developmental opportunities for potential talent.
- Inspire and motivate direct reports to take actions and achieve goals.
- Language: German and English language skills required
- Intercultural awareness and skills
