In Department Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Institute of Mathematics - Division of Numerical and mathematical modeling (Prof. Dr. Friedmann), the following position as soon as possible:
Research Associate (M/F/d), EG 13 TV-H, temporary, part-time (currently 20 hours per week)

Part-time with half the regular working hours of a full-time employee. The position is initially limited until 31.12.2025 (qualification position according to - 2 Abs. 1 Satz 1 WissZeitVG). The possibility of obtaining a doctorate is available.

**Responsibilities**:

- Integrating current scientific approaches into existing methods and codes
- Working on a research subfield in numerics of partial differential equations
- Writing scientific reports and publications
- Supporting the field of numerics and mathematical modeling in research and teaching

**Your Profile**:

- A good to excellent degree in mathematics from a scientific university. The required degree must be available by the start date at the latest.
- Very good knowledge in the field of partial differential equations and finite elements
- Programming skills
- Good English skills

**Desirable**:

- Software experience with deal.ii, C++
- Ability and experience in clearly and accurately presenting complex issues in German and English
- Experience in preparing and supervising courses
- Thorough and independent working style
- High level of organizational skills
- Teamwork skills
