**YOUR TEAM**:
A significant part of our CARIAD portfolio is our Identity & Access Management Product: a GDPR-ready, integrated, white-label solution providing the customer with a brand-specific single sign-on solution (e.g. Volkswagen ID). So, digital services come alive, making it possible for customers to connect their smartphone & vehicle fast via a unique User ID which is based on the technology of the Identity Kit. This also includes product components for marketing permission and consent management, storage of sensitive customer profile data as well as data consolidation features in order to bring the digital and analogue world closer together. CARIAD is delivering these central systems for Customer Data Management as well as Identity
- and Access Management for the whole Volkswagen Group and brands.
As one of our team members you will be responsible for legal topics with the product development and operations. You work within a cross-functional team and share the same vision: the safe and legal-conform processing of customer data, manage complexities across products and brands. You work on the legal perspective of a continuous improvement of the product on the edge of technology, in car and across digital connected devices, apps and services. In doing so, you always keep the customer in focus and create the greatest possible customer experience with the highest customer added value in interaction with your colleagues.
**WHAT YOU WILL DO**:
- Advise team colleagues on any legal topics, e.g. data protection and contract law
- Negotiate contracts for the whole product suite, and legally support our internal customers in connection to our product
- Manage and implement external regulatory and internal compliance tasks in order to safeguard security and trust in the product
- Providing the connective link between the business and the Volkswagen Group brands’ legal departments
- Define and refine legal requirements as well as supervise their correct implementation into the product
- Exchange knowledge with other legal specialists in the organization
- Follow and assess the regulatory landscape to flag risks and opportunities to the product
**WHO YOU ARE**:
- Legal studies or comparable (international) degree
- Relevant professional experience in a national or international law firm or in a company
- Expert knowledge in European data protection law and ideally IT contract law.
- Tech-savvy, self-reliant and pragmatic mindset
- Negotiation skills and entrepreneurial thinking
- Fluent business English skills
