**About the position**
**Your qualifications**
- Excellent or very good master’s degree in (health) economics, public health, epidemiology, demography, mathematics, or statistics
- Strong expertise and experience in programming in R or Python
- Expertise and experience in the field of empirical data analysis
- Affinity for statistical computing and computational social science topics
- Interest in public health topics and health policy analysis
- Scientific curiosity
- Ability to work in a team, creativity, structured work
**Tasks**
- Development, adaption and advancement of public health NCD simulation models for the German context
- Estimation of economic and epidemiologic model parameters from various primary and secondary data sources
- Conduct and supervision of systematic searches to identify data sources and parameters for simulation models
- Application of models to analyze and compare the long-term health economic impact of interventions and health policies to prevent NCDs
- Close collaboration with colleagues in the team and with national and international cooperation partners
- Preparation of research papers and conference presentations
**Our offer**
- A 75% position as research associate with the opportunity to pursue a doctoral degree (Payment will be based on the Collective Agreement for the Civil Service (TV-L)). The position will initially be limited to three years.
