Transport Specialist

**Job Description** Your mission during this flight**:
**CUSTOMER & SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT**
- You will record and process transport requests
- You will ensure compliance with all internal and external regulations in the areas of packaging, handling, documentation
- You will be the contact person for our internal and external suppliers for logistic inquiries

**TRANSPORT PLANNING & EXPORT CONTROL**
- You will be responsible for E2E planning, organization and control of national and international transports
- You will take care of E2E organization and supervision of special transports
- You will be responsible and execute briefings with drivers and service partners
- You will prepare all necessary transport, import and export declaration documents

**SERVICE PROVIDER NETWORK**
- You will establish and maintain a network of service providers
- You will prepare and support the procurement department in negotiating framework agreements

**PROCESS, METHODS & TOOLS**
- You will define and implement processes and standards within the area of responsibility
- You will support the development and maintenance of dashboards on transportation costs and service performance
- You will design and introduce tools and management systems for transparent and traceable planning and execution of transportation and material movements
- You will configure and operate the relevant ERP modules in collaboration with the ERP team

**Qualifications** Check in your professional skills**:

- Completed Bachelor Degree in Transportation Management/ Logistics or completed professional training as a forwarding agent (f/m/d), industrial clerk (f/m/d) or a comparable qualification.
- 3+ years of professional experience in relevant activities
- Comprehensive understanding of courier and freight operations including import/ export and tax control with regards to aviation regulations
- Confident in using MS Office and ERP software
- Experience in performance metrics, decision making based on data and execution of process improvements
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Ability to clearly communicate to internal and external stakeholders and employees
- Proactive hands-on mentality and a desire to make a difference
- Fluent in German and English
