Resideo is looking for an independent **Financial Country Controller **to join our EMEA finance team. The Financial Country Controller will cover **Germany, Belgium, and the Netherlands **and will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with US and Local GAAP, as well as local statutory and legislative requirements. Reporting to the Sub-Regional Controller, this position is preferably **based in Mosbach, Germany with the possibility to work from home (2 days a week **). The Financial Country Controller serves as a key partner to the regional business, tax, and treasury teams, as well as external auditors.

**JOB DUTIES**:

- Prepare and file timely and accurate statutory financial statements for all reporting units and legal entities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for statutory audits.
- Review/approve complex, high-risk balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Prepare Manual Journal entries and reconciliations for key local compliance accounts, with a focus on payroll and local taxes.
- Support the payroll, VAT, and tax teams in resolving issues
- Participate in monthly operating reviews with entity controllers and subregional controllers to ensure a thorough understanding of P&L and balance sheet activities, as well as identify risks and opportunities.
- Sign the Representation Letter for the business entities within the scope of responsibility.
- Support Corporate Tax in tax-led strategic initiatives and projects, and act as a key point of contact for tax audits and local compliance matters.
- Collaborate with Corporate Controllers to address in-country legal entity change management needs, including acquisitions, divestitures, site closings, and core business process migrations.
- Assist with local tax filings and reconciliations
- Assist with submission of filing documents as required by local government authorities.
- Prepare any necessary local Government compliance and statistical reporting, such as environmental or trade-related reporting.
- Support the deployment of SAP and conduct necessary testing, as required. Perform ad-hoc miscellaneous duties as assigned.

**YOU MUST HAVE**:

- Fluent in German and English
- Degree in business or finance or professionally qualified accountant (Bilanzbuchhaltung / Bilanzbuchhaltung International
- Demonstrated track record of managing the monthly accounting cycle and ensuring compliance with local statutory (German GAAP) reporting, US GAAP or IFRS requirements, and robust internal controls.
- ERP Skills (preferably SAP)
- Experience in industry or public accounting in Controllership, Accounting, and Auditing, preferably with a Big4 firm.
