**Who will you be joining?**
Group Tax “Operational Taxes” is responsible for tax planning for the Allianz Group in regard of Value Added Tax (VAT). We create, drive and coordinate tax optimization measures. In this regard, we closely collaborate with a strong network of local tax experts and centrally steer activities to ensure a stringent governance.
Ensuring tax compliance of German Allianz companies is our core responsibility. We manage external tax advisors who take care of the operational tax compliance activities. We ensure an effective tax risk management.
In addition to VAT, we consult in Insurance Premium Tax and Wage Tax matters.
**How can you make an impact?**
- Identification, development and implementation of VAT planning measures globally and locally
- Advice on projects and investments with regard to VAT
- Management of tax compliance processes
- Harmonization of tools and processes as well as sharing best practices within Allianz Group
- Advice and implementation of VAT requirements and processes in ERP systems
- Analysis of VAT developments and advising/supporting on adaption to changes
- Managing and instructing external tax advisors
- Management of tax audits and controversies
**What are you made of?**
**Minumum Qualifications**:
- Degree in business administration / economics, taxation or law (or other related field)
- Certified tax advisor
- Fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
- Knowledge in SAP R3 / S4 Hana and MS Office"
- Previous experience in business related functions (e.i. Sales, Operations, Claims, Underwriting, Investment Management, Asset Management, Consulting, Product Development, Finance, Market Management, Digital / Tech etc.) is a plus
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Expert knowledge in Operational Taxes (VAT, IPT, Wage Tax)
- 6+ years prior experience as tax advisor or inhouse tax manager
- Tax advisory both on national and international level
- Project management
- Strong analytical skills
- Team player
