The Storelli lab is interested in the mechanisms that regulate meta
- bolism in both animal hosts and their microbiota. We want to under
- stand how ruptures in host-microbe metabolic interactions contribute

to diseases such as inflammatory bowel diseases or cancer. We also

believe that these studies will broaden our understanding of ageing,

a complex biological process characterized by nutritional, metabolic,

and immune alterations.

YOUR TASKS
- independently conduct your research with input from the PI
- generate and analyze large multi-omics datasets (Position #1)
- culture intestinal organoids and set up organoid/

bacteria co-culture (Position #2)
- use bacteriology, molecular biology, histochemistry, biochemistry technics.
- perform transcriptomic, proteomic and metabolomic analyses.

YOUR PROFILE
- a PhD degree in life sciences, computational
biology, microbiology or related fields
- experience with bioinformatics and/or bacterial engineering (postdoc
position #1) or organoid culture (postdoc position #2) is MANDATORY
- for computational biologists: wet lab experience is required
- excellent written and spoken English (English

is the working language in the lab)
- genuine curiosity, taste for communication and team
work, and good problem-solving skills
- open to learning new skills and setting up innovative methods
