With 8,300 employees worldwide, we develop and produce complex metal and hybrid structures for body-in-white and chassis, which make a decisive contribution to the optimum protection of all vehicle occupants in the event of a car accident.
Your tasks
- Central function for questions regarding process planning of aluminium products with focus on bending, mechanical processing, assembly, heat
- and surface treatment
- Development and design of cost-optimized manufacturing concepts for the production of aluminium-specific structure components in automotive engineering
- Preparation of basic principles for the cost estimation of aluminium products
- Advising the purchasing departments on the above mentioned technologies
- Support of customer teams during customer visits
**Profile**:
- Degree in mechanical engineering with specialisation in manufacturing and production technology or comparable
- Good knowledge of forming technologies for aluminium products, basic knowledge of aluminium specific joining technology is desirable
- Alumnium specific materials know how is necessary
- Extensive industry knowledge in mechanical processing, assembly and surface technology
- Experience in automotive industry desirable
- Independent and self-responsible operation
- Very good communication skills and teamwork
- Good written and spoken English knowledge
- Fluent in German
