**Your mission**:
As a **Senior UX Researche**r at GotPhoto, you focus on enabling photographers to use technology with ease in order to concentrate on their passion and maximize their revenue - simply making photographers more successful by improving their workflows as well as the experience of their customers.

**Your primary mission is to generate valuable insights and opportunities for all product teams and collaborate closely together with product managers and our management team.**

Your expertise in conducting qualitative and quantitative research studies, along with your background in psychology, cognitive science, or human-computer interaction, will enable you to build a foundation of user research that empowers product teams.
**Additionally, you will create and manage a research repository, leveraging the right tools and principles to ensure effective knowledge retention and sharing.**

As a key member of our product design team, you will contribute to the growth and development of our young product department, helping shape it into a thriving organization.

**Your role**:

- Conduct **qualitative and quantitative** research, such as user interviews, usability testing, card sorting, surveys, and ethnographic research, to gather valuable data and insights
- Delve into user analytics and other **data-driven **approaches as part of quantitative studies
- Use your expertise in psychology, human factors, human-computer interaction, cognitive science, sociology, anthropology, or a related field to provide valuable perspectives and guide research efforts
- Create a **research repository** to organize and manage existing knowledge, ensuring easy access and sharing with product teams
- Collaborate with** product managers **and management to communicate insights and opportunities that benefit all product teams
- Communicate research findings effectively, translating them into actionable recommendations
- Educate and mentor non-field experts, empowering them to conduct research and leverage research insights as well as make data-driven decisions
- Demonstrate strong prioritization skills to guide product strategy and decision-making processes
- Maintain a confident and professional demeanor when interacting with photographers** (B2B) and end customers (B2C)**
- Foster a **collaborative** and enthusiastic team environment, working both independently and as part of a team

**Skills we are looking for**:
You are an excellent **Senior UX Researcher** with a passion for customer insights and effectively educating team members about those. You have a structured way of thinking and a hands-on mentality.
- A minimum of 5+ years of experience in UX research with a proven track record of success
- You have conducted qualitative and quantitative research as part of product development cycles
- Strong time management skills and the ability to be self-directed, prioritize, and plan
- Solid understanding of digital product development and the needs of product teams
- Experienced in building and maintaining a knowledge repository and connected tools
- Great communication and presentation skills to convey insights and recommendations to the product and management teams
- You can participate across all phases of discovery: product research (generative user research, problem discovery) and feature research (value refinement, solution discovery, usability testing)
- Ability to articulate your recommendations and the problems they are solving, backing decisions with generated data
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential. Proficiency in German is a significant advantage, as a major portion of our customers is German-speaking.
